Watching That connects to OpenX via their Reporting API, pulling your programmatic performance data into your workspace on a scheduled basis.

What data you get

The OpenX integration brings in rollup reporting data — aggregated revenue, impressions, fill rates, and other programmatic performance metrics broken down by the dimensions available in your OpenX account.

Once connected, this data appears alongside your ad server data in the Report module, giving you a unified view of demand partner performance without needing to log into OpenX separately.

Note: As this is rollup (aggregated) data, it is available in the Report module for dashboards and scheduled reporting. Analysis and Monitoring modules are not currently supported for this data source.

  • Report: Build dashboards combining OpenX revenue with your ad server delivery data and other demand sources in a single view

  • Scheduled exports: Include OpenX data in automated report deliveries

How to connect

To set up the OpenX integration, you'll need to provide Watching That with API credentials from your OpenX account.

What you'll need:

  • Your OpenX client ID

  • The email address and password for the API user

  • Your OpenX instance hostname (e.g. yourcompany-ui.openx.com)

  • Your GCIP key (your OpenX account manager can help locate this)

Setup steps:

  1. Contact your Watching That account manager to request the OpenX integration

  2. Confirm or generate your API credentials within OpenX (your OpenX account manager can assist)

  3. Share credentials securely with your Watching That account manager

  4. Watching That configures the connection and begins pulling data — typically within one working day

Data refresh

OpenX data is retrieved on a scheduled basis. Watching That submits report requests to the OpenX API, which generates reports asynchronously — the platform polls until results are ready and then imports the data. Reports reflect the data available through the OpenX Reporting API, which typically covers the previous day's performance onwards. Your account manager can confirm the specific refresh schedule for your deployment.
